Rock, me, and moshing. Oy vey!

A nurse approached me about the music I listen to. All they did was criticize rock; they didn’t hear the Christian lyrics. If they must know, I also like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Nirvana.

Yeah, that rock realization shocked me too when I picked up my guitar. You’d think mosh pits & headbanging were enough of a wake-up call for this Asian.

Don’t worry, I don’t do the pit bit. I saw a real one start up in front of me out in San Jose. I’d be crushed.

Yes this is me, acting like the teenager I never got to be.   I’m not faded, just real happy to have been accepted for the rocker I am without needing to deal with any crazy “but you’re Asian” preconceptions.  :p Again, I’m not drunk; this is one time where a rumor based on my ethnicity would apply - my Asianness sets off the alarm to let you know I’ve been drinking; I’d look like a tomato and my face would be burning after a few sips. What’s this about the “teenager” I never got to be?  Okay, I remember a few times where I was able to play the teenager card but most the time I was trying not to stand out.  College classmates aren’t all that welcoming when you’re a sophomore in high school.  There’s that and I always had to keep a serious face for when I’d walk the runways or pose for formal dress advertisements.  Hah, no more of that for me!  Then again, I am a CEO and need to compose myself.  That is so not fun but I’ll find a way to make it work.

Haha, Apple got the idea for their MagSafe (power cables) from Japanese rice cookers. Speaking of rice cookers, my friend just reminded me of my first rice cooker out of college. This Rongsheng cooker came with a slip, warning “Beware the almighty outlet.”  We had found that little note to be a riot, so much so that we still have our HAHAs over it - 10 years later.  Don’t get it?  You’ll get it tomorrow. Rice cookers rock!  As an Asian, I have to say, I can’t he without one.

I think FB has gone beyond the acceptable. Why do they need to know my blood type? All y’all need to know is that I’m Asian, down to the very red of things.

I may be paranoid but if things were to make a turn for the worst, I’d hate to have to bat people off who would be vying for the blood I can’t donate - there’s billions of other Asians out there with the same type.
